A Place With a Story to Tell

This 8-week Miami University summer program is based in the capital, Pristina. Students attend classes in Journalism and International Studies, and intern at a news agency or NGO, 4 days a week, with 3-day weekends for exploring Southeastern Europe.

Group travel includes daytrips to 2 nearby historic cities, and a 4-day trip to Dubrovnik and the famous beaches of Croatia.

This is ideal for majors in Journalism, Mass Communication, International Studies, Sociology and related fields!

Undergrads earn 8 credits in Journalism and International Studies. The Journalism course is a capstone for majors in several fields of study. Kosovo 2014 does fulfill the study abroad requirements in International Studies.

Develop your ability as an online storyteller or work with a NGO, while learning about the geographical, cultural, and social history of the Balkans.

June 9 – August 5, 2014

Open to undergraduate and graduate students in ALL fields of study. Undergrads earn 8 transferrable credits from Miami University; grad students earn 8-12 credits in an individualized curriculum.
