“Critical Media Literacy” in Viti: Increasing awareness about identifying, evaluating and analyzing information

May 21, 2019

More than twenty youth from Viti partook in our Critical Media Literacy workshop held at “Gursel e Bajram Sylejmani” Cultural Center in Viti, who through the explanation of the curriculum and various case studies that help in identifying fake news had the opportunity to be informed about the presence of fake news in our country and its negative impact.

The workshop was led by Anda, Fitore and Kreshnike, beneficiaries from our programs for young women’s empowerment, who used the methodology created by Annea Hapciu for increasing the critical thinking abilities of the youth to evaluate, analyze, and identify information that they create, consume and distribute.

This Critical Media Literacy workshop is one of five workshops, which are being held with youth and educators in: Kaçanik, Malisheva, Vitia, Skenderaj, Deçan, Prishtina and Prizren.
